Burt Diaz
Los Angeles, CA

It was October 1994 when Burt Diaz first spotted this ad, and being a "rock & roller," he knew instantly that this was the opportunity for him! "I was looking for something new," says Burt, "especially something that wouldn't make me live out of a suitcase!" Burt came from a musical background, having played with White Lion (on Atlantic Records), Iron Butterfly, and REO Speedwagon. But, by the fall of 1994, he was teaching elementary school music and looking for a lifestyle change. The small ad he spotted made him excited about a possible "rock & roll day job!" At his interview, Burt was given the full overview about a fledging company that was growing rapidly and what his potential could be with this company. He was told that he could work from sales to management and look forward to exciting vacations and a six-figure income. Burt was hooked!

"When I was first hired," explains Burt, "I know I wanted to become a Manager. I worked feverishly toward that goal-I built up a good crew and tried to stay in one of the top ten spots in the company. It was important for me to learn the process of first introducing people to the company and then training them in order to help the company grow, rather than to shoot independently for the number-one, grand coveted title. I worked very hard at training people, and at introducing young people into the opportunity." By the next spring Burt had opened his own branch office, had taken a few free trips, and eventually managed the "Dominator Region." Along the way, Burt inherited the L.A office in 1999, became Rookie Branch Manager of the Year, and traveled to some of the most exotic and beautiful locations in the world.

Through his experiences, Burt has learned the importance of building momentum, setting a goal of 700 to 1,200 sales per week for his crew of 15 (who range in age from 19 to 60). At that sales level, crew members experience mounting excitement and energy that work to propel everyone even further. Burt thrives on this energy, along with the energy that pulses through all of their offices. As Burt says, "It's this energy that carries me." He views his comrades from around the nation as family, and carries this concept of unity right down to his own office. He enjoys motivating and rewarding his family of team members, encouraging each one to reach 50 to 100 sales per week (occasional road trips have seen some of them reach 200 sales per week!).

Although he first saw that simple ad only eight years ago, Burt Diaz is now living his "American Dream". His million-dollar dream home and luxurious travels are mere by-products of a changed and appreciative lifestyle that he hopes will act as an inspiration to others. He enthusiastically explains, "Seeing the continuous growth of this company is very alluring. I always have the question in my head, 'Wow, what are they going to come up with next? Where are we going to travel next? What new products are we going to develop around the bend and where can we create more success for young people?" Burn continues, "I find the business as exciting, in fact, far more exciting today than when I first joined!" Burt's rock & roll days are still rolling on; only now he has the freedom to create his own music!
