Alan Lavinsky
Denver, CO

Many of you know what it’s like to have your whole life ahead of you with all of your decisions yet to be made. Alan Lavinsky started his fruitful career with Partners at the fresh age of twenty. Before it was even legal for him to drink, Alan was lucky enough to stumble upon a career that he enjoyed, that gave him freedom, and gave him success. Alan now estimates that he should be able to retire comfortably at the ripe old age of forty-five.

Growing up in Boulder, Colorado, Alan worked at a few fast food joints, and at a nursing home for about 2 years. This was all during high school, and as soon as Alan graduated, he, like many of us, moved as far away from home as was humanly possible. Also like many of us, he found himself dirt poor and back home after 6 months. In Boulder, he went back to the nursing home for a few years, and also had a quick stint as a security guard. But it wasn’t until he saw the unique ad for Partners (“Rock and Roll Atmosphere. If you are not making $500.00 per week…Call.”) that he found his perfect fit.

He answered the ad and was called in for an interview the next day. As Alan says of that interview, “All I really remember being told was that I could make $100 000.00 a year!” So it didn’t take much thought for Alan to decide to go in for the second interview. He secured the position and went out on the job the first day with high hopes. He came back to the office having sold 3 pieces of art. They decided to retrain him. The next day, he and his manager went out together and sold fifty pictures (Alan sold twenty-eight.) Within the next three days, Alan sold an impressive 125 pieces of art, and made a whopping $975.00! He was a happy man.

In just six short months, Alan got promoted. He was sent to Kansas to open his own office. After seven months there, his office failed (he was only 20 for god’s sake.) But Partners immediately took him back in Denver, gave him a partner, and assured him that he could go back to Kansas in a month, and succeed. Alan soon discovered that he was much happier in Denver, and with his new partner, John Weiler, business prospered.

The rest as they say is history. Along with John Weiler, Alan was able to get the experience he needed. Before they knew it, they had an office that averaged over 600 sales per week. In 2002, Alan was awarded the Rookie Branch Manager of the Year award, and has expanded his office to two locations. He has been all over the world, to places like Italy, Hawaii, and Mexico, and has a new car, as well as a new house. Now at age 25, Alan Lavinsky has found a great career and a great life.
